D4R-II connection to Pixhawk

Hi all - newb question here…

I just received an FrSKY D4R-II Rx to pair up to my Pixhawk module. I’ve bridges channels 3/4 to get the PPM signal, and am now confused how to connect the Rx to the Pixhawk. There’s a 4-wire output, that according to the Pixhawk connection guide, should connect to the 3 wire “RC in” input on the Pixhawk.

I assume that I need to solder the wires into a 3-wire connector, in order to make that connection. Does that sound correct?

Cheers

Hi Peaches40

According to what I can find about this receiver, you should use CH1 as output into the PIXHAWK RC input…

So don’t use the Analog / Dataport which has 4 wires indeed…

The manual for the receiver mentions that “If CH3 and CH4 are connected by a jumper, CH1 will output CPPM for CH1~CH8, and CH2 will output RSSI (PWM)”

Make sure you connect Signal Out on CH1 to RC port Signal in on the PIXHAWK.

Appearently this is a 8 Channel receiver, if you use it like you are intending…

Ah that makes sense. When in doubt, RTFM. Thanks FpvDrone-EG!
