Customizing windows in Mission Planner

I know Mission Planner is not built with Qt like QGroundControl and APMPlanner2, but is there still an easy way to customize windows?

I want to be able to display live video with a HUD overlay by default, and then be able to change to a view with the HUD separate from the live video (in separate windows).

currently this is not possible,
you could use the hud, or use an external program to display the video however.

you can double click the hud to make it drop out though
