Cube orange + sabertooth

Hello,

I am working on a 4WD rover with a Sabertooth 2x12 and a Cube Orange. When I try to set up the output for “throttle” and “ground steering” on my servo 1 and 3, the throttle is not detected (even though my radio calibration has been done and works well). When I arm the vehicle, nothing happens…

I am completely lost with my work.
Is there somebody who could help me, please?

THANK YOU

Are you actually using Rover 4.0 firmware? Highly recommend you update to the latest 4.5 release.

You have to set the DIP switches on the controller to match autopilot output (which is RC-style).

For RC input, set:

  • Switch 1 DOWN
  • Switch 2 UP
  • Switch 5 UP (linear is what you want)
  • Switch 6 UP

For switch 4:

  • Mixed mode (ground steering + throttle), Switch 4 UP (input S1 is throttle and S2 is steering)
  • Skid steering, Switch 4 DOWN (this seems like what you actually want, then use ThrottleLeft and ThrottleRight for your autpilot servo outputs).

Assuming you’re using LiPo batteries and skid steering, this is what it should look like (set Switch 3 UP if you’re using lead-acid or Ni-based batteries):

Thank you for your answer.

Currently, I have exactly the following switches setup :
1:Down
2:UP
3:UP (bc I am using a regulated power supply during tests)
4:Down
5:UP
6:UP

But not working and I don’t receive anything from the cube.
