With the many new ChiBios supported FCs, most do not have Telem ports with RTS/CTS…
What is the practical impact of this when using 3DR/SiK radios?
Also, if telem is being used solely for HUD to GCS and for control from GCS to aircraft (ie no interest in logging other info, raw sensors, etc.), what params can be changed in MP and radios to minimize the amount of data being transmitted?
I know it’s been a long time since this was posted, but I recently had the same question when wondering if I could connect an mRo telemetry radio to a smaller Matek FC. Is this possible without connecting the RTS/CTS lines? So far I have found this, which seems to mean that it is possible if I disable the corresponding parameters (BRD_SER1_RTSCTS…) and leave the RTS/CTS lines disconnected physically from the flight controller.
