Hello! I have a number of boats running pixhawk with ublox GPS/compass units which work great. However, I installed a Pixhawk 2.1 with Here GPS and I cannot, for the life of me, get the compass errors worked out.
Does anyone know of the Pixhawk 2.1/Here GPS requires different settings than Pixhawk?
Any input is appreciated!
If you have a log I can take a look. Is the issue that the compass calibration always fails or is it more the heading is always off in the ground station?
Hey… sorry, I don’t have a log file. But I was able to resolve the issue by replacing the HERE GPS with a generic ublox neo m8n with compass - so the issue must be an offset. I’ll play with it more as time permits, this time saving any logs haha
Also, the heading was always off - but not in a consistent or predicable manner. For example, some times it would be correct, other times 180 degrees off, or other times off but by a random amount.
OK, glad you got it resolved. So it sounds like it’s most likely some kind of hardware issue…
… not trying to pass the buck but… seems likely…
