Compass issue with ArduPlane 4.2 and above

I am having an issue with compass calibration on ArduPlane 4.2 and above. This has happened to me on 2 completely different aircraft and both using the orange cube but different compasses. One is using a Here3 on CAN and the other is a Qiotek airspeed & compass unit. Once I calibrate the compass, upon reboot it comes up as missing on setup tab under compass. I can then power it completely off and back on and it still doesn’t show up. If I leave it for a longer period of time (like overnight) then it comes back as normal. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I updated on of them just now to 4.2.2 and completed another compass calibration and it rebooted and worked fine… so I may have solved the issue.
