Communication with engines in RS232


I’m working on a research project trying to connect a Raspberry equipped with a Navio card and ArduPilot to engines that communicate in RS232. I tried looking into the ArduPilot’s code (near the servo code) to implement it but didn’t got any bright idea yet. Anyone ever done something similar and could help me on that topic ?
