COG position on VTOL

Hello fellow plane flyers i no it is better to have C-O-G spot on but which has the most adverse effects on a VTOL when flying in plane mode slightly forward or rearward C-O-G many thanks in advance

In aeroplane mode, a COG that is too far back is worse or even impossible to fly.

Thank you Rolf,so if I understand this correctly on my Fima Manta there is C-O-G marks on the wings,if I ballance them on my fingers the C-O-G should be level or maybe a tad nose heavy im not 100% sure really

That is exactly right, ideally it should be level. If it isn’t, a bit nose heavy is a lot better than a bit tail heavy.

If you have the COG unnecessarily far forward, you will fly more inefficiently. For safety reasons, many manufacturers prefer to have the COG too far forward rather than too far back.
