Channel ranges for Arducopter heli?

I’m using my Taranis X9D+ transmitter with my mRo Pixhawk R15 controller and, having calibrated my receiver, I see that all my channels – sticks and switches – range from 982 to 2006. Do I need to trim my Tx to get the ranges as near to 1000 to 2000 as possible, or can I leave it like that provided I bear those values in mind when doing any of the calibrations that are sensitive to max or min?

Those are fine. You should not be using any passthrough features for your servos so these are strictly used to determine pilot control inputs.
