Changed AHRS_ORIENTATION: need to re-calibrate accs?

Hello,

I have just changed my AHRS_ORIENTATION parameter (my flight controller is mounted with a 180º yaw). My question is, do I need to re-calibrate the accelerometers? The aircraft is rather large and difficult to hold sideaways or upside down, so I’d rather only do that if it’s strictly necessary

Hi Filipe,

That’s a little bit out of my comfort zone, but I’m pretty sure that just changing orientation has no effect on accelerometer calibration.

Thank you for your reply. I also though it made more sense for the offsets to be in the device axis (and thus invariant to AHRS_ORIENTATION), but you never know
If I have any accelerometer issues after this I will post here to let people know
