Can't install apm planner 2.0 0n lenovo 505s laptop

Hi! I can’t install apm planner 2.0 on my lenovo 505s it runs ubuntu 14.04.please see below
copied text from terminal it seems apm planner needs something called libopenscenegraph80
I tried to install that but when it ask for more files to get libopenscenegraph80 to work…
Is it any easy fix to get things to work? I’m not good at terminal typing so so some icon clicking
would be nice

Thanks in advance Stefan

try this download which is built for trusty (14.04) firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APM … usty64.deb

Thanks for the tip! But I have install Win 7 on the laptop now so I installed
misson planner instead… So I can’t test that… Sorry

I have marked it as solved, as i’m 100% sure it was just that you picked up the wrong install file. Thx for your efforts as somebody else will probably find the discussion useful for sure.

I confirm that it works great for Lubuntu 14.04.

Thank you Billbonney for your great work )

Hello, same problem here.

Lenovo Y510P running Kubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Trusty.

Downloaded current latest “apm_planner2_latest_debian64.deb” from Ardpuilot Downloads and also “apm_planner_2.0.14_ubuntu_trusty64.deb” from Bill’s link above.

Both fail, this is the output for “apm_planner2_latest_debian64.deb”:

Trying to apt-get the missing packages for the first file, “apm_planner2_latest_debian64.deb” fails.

The second file, “apm_planner_2.0.14_ubuntu_trusty64.deb”, installs successfully once the user installs libopenscenegraph99. However, all this song and dance is likely to trip many users (I presume ubuntu is the most common) who will simply follow the ardupilot latest link. Perhaps add some info and extra links in the downloads page?
