I set up a mission using ArduCopter V3.2.1 with Verify Height ticked. I wrote it to the APM 2.6, cleared the mission and read it back to check that it was correct. Verify Height was still ticked. But when I disconnected, closed Mission Planner, opened it again, reconnected and read the mission again Verify Height was not ticked. I did fly the mission but of course the way point heights were relative to the arming point and it did not follow the terrain. I would appreciate any advice on what I am doing wrong.
I’m trying to understand the “Verify Height” feature as it doesn’t work as expected: wrong understanding from my side or SW issue.
My understanding is that “Verify Height” is know only by MP. ArduPilot SW do not know this parameter.
“Verify Height” is not in the parameter list and is not stored into WP files as far as I can see.
MP uses it only when you define a new WP. It take the default Alt and add some meters based in google info: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11341
