Topic:Camera gimbal for MP custom gimbal control screen development

Description:
Work will start shortly on enhancing Mission Planner to allow users to more easily control camera gimbals (see issue here) but the developer, RobL, does not have a suitable camera gimbal. In particular he needs one with Zoom control so that he can implement the “click to point here” feature. It would also be helpful if the camera supported image tracking.
This proposal is for AP to fund the purchase of one of these camera gimbals
- Siyi ZR10 ($510) – supports image tracking with an extra bit of hardware
- ViewPro A10 ($1299) – supports image tracking
- Xacti CX-GB100 (approx $2000) – randy would develop image tracking on companion computer
I have also reached out to the above manufacturers to see if any of them would be interested in providing the hardware.
