Camera Compatibility?

Hi All,

I’m new here. My class is designing a drone and we have decided to use Mission Planner and PixHawk. I found a great camera that would deliver high quality photos (needed per the assignment) but there is concern the camera is not compatible with the Mission Planner software. Can anyone shed any light on this?

What type of drone?
What drone firmware?
What is the model of the camera?

I suppose you can fit any camera with remote trigger support to pixhawk. Not so sure about this. There is plenty of threads about your subject. Good luck with the build :slight_smile:

let me know the camera specs, and I can add it.

would need to know the sensor size in mm, focal length and the name.

When you say that you can add it, what do you mean? Would this allow us to use the camera with the software?

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry, I never saw that you replied!

We are building our own drone but it’ll be a quad-copter. As far as firmware, I’m not sure. I know we are using Pixhawk. I’m not sure if that helps…
