Use those modules now for years in my models and leave the modules installed, because it is for me very convention not to fiddle with a USB cable in case of.
Have those 2 USB BT UARTs here for connecting the models, one bought years ago and one DIY in case I loose the other.
Started a new project and was looking, what still is in on the shelf here. Found those 2 HC-06.
But then the trouble started. Connection started, but after maybe 30 s bang the connection broke. Values on screen and the disconnect!
Under Linux with QGC, under Windows with MP. Loop back tests with 57600 absolute stable. Was puzzled for two days with that. A problem with my computer hardware (used 2 different machines), a problem on the Linux and Windows side, A problem with QGC or MP (used different versions) or an issue with the FC (used 2).
And several loop back tests working flawless.
Then I found a small note I made on the self, were I found the HC-06s. ‘Could be, that those HC-06 show quirks’. I forgot about that, last time I struggled with BT … maybe last year?
Still had a ‘free’ HC-05, switch that one to ‘slave’, put it in and … problem solved.
What happens here? Two HC-06 showing behavior that and loop tests just fine?
Now I’ll take those 2 modules, go down to the garage and smash the ‘bastards’ with a hammer
