I haven’t been able to find anything about this, so I hope that I’m not bringing up something discussed elsewhere, but:
have there been discussions about having the RTL waypoint and landing waypoints that are different different than the Home point? Our environment is such that we almost never want to land or RTL to the place where the plane booted up.
PS We’re flying APM 2.5 boards.

OK I’ll do that. But I’m a little confused. Aren’t modes and waypoints part of the firmware on the APM? MavProxy, for example, uses the exact same modes and waypoint as Mission Planner. Isn’t this an autopilot question AND a ground control station issue?
