Best Contribution of the Month, January 2018: Ardupilot on Revolution flight controller

Congratulations to developer night-ghost for winning Ardupilot’s “Best Contribution of the Month” award for January 2018, for his work on a new OS free F4Light HAL.

Impressive and massive work, opening up a slew of new possibilities for running ArduCopter on very small F4 based boards! For starters, how is the following picture for size? Not to mention great performance results running AHRS updates at 1kHz.

Night-ghost is also behind work supporting new sensors (BMP085, MAG3110), along with fixes to flash _storage and ap_motors libraries. Many thanks also go to Tridge who offered invaluable help bringing the port into master.

The prize for the month was $200 for the top contributor. Thanks to those who donated to ArduPilot, including our Corporate Partners. If you are a company and wish to donate a prize for an upcoming month, please email the partners email list (partners@ardupilot.org).

Congrats Night-ghost!

nicely done @night-ghost!

Brilliant work, well done to all involved!

Huzzah! Nice work @night-ghost

Very nice, this will open the door to many more smaller platforms that don’t need everything and the kitchen sink to work. Well done!

Stay tuned also for some upcoming news on crazyflie port!

congrats @night_ghost , just awesome!
and thanks again everybody involved, i do owe a reasonable amount of premium flight-hours to this HAL and ardupilot.

basti.

Any chance Apruplane will work on this?

It already does
NG and others have been using it on small wings etc

Awesome, now I need to get another plane to put this in…
