Axis steering sequence

Hello!
I have a question about the axis control sequence.
If I use set_attitude_target - my plane tends to perform any maneuver I set. However, this does not always result in correct aerodynamic maneuvers.
Sometimes when using roll turn, I may set a negative pitch angle - this causes my pitch angle to interfere with the roll turn.
Here is my question: is there any mathematical model, algorithm or principle that can help in choosing the correct taxiing sequence for the aircraft axes?
