Auto takeoff with Copter

Hello…just tried out APM Planner. All is good, only one issue. If I enter an “Auto Takeoff” command , the copter reacts differently then in Mission planner. Instead of going straight up to altitude, it increases as it goes to first waypoint like Arduplane would. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to create the auto takeoff. Now I am using Mission Planner just to write missions. Thank you. JEFF

I was able to work this out. I uploaded a mission with auto take off from Mission Planner ver.92

Then I read it in APM Planner

If you add your current position as the first waypoint, with zero altitude the copter takes off straight up.

So all is good
