I was setting up filters for a helicopter and had a question that prompted me to write this post.
Currently, there is a notch filter at 35Hz and a 20Hz LPF on the gyro as shown in the photo below.
If the gyro LPF is 20Hz, there is no problem, but if the LPF is increased to 60-80Hz, does the second notch filter need to be applied at 131Hz accordingly?
Also, since a low LPF causes delay, I want to increase the gyro LPF value to 60-80 Hz for better control. However, in my search, it seems that most people use a gyro LPF of 10-20 Hz.
I’m also wondering if using the current 20 Hz frequency of the gyro LPF will not interfere with the controller’s internal loop.
