ArduPlane Warning Message Set Documentation?

I am attempting to document potential errors (i.e. “ERROR COMPASS VARIANCE”) that may be displayed on the Mission Planner (1.3.49) Flight Data window.

Is there a source documenting all messages that the user may eventually see on the HUD?
I tried looking at MAVlink documentation, but could only find information regarding the container for said messages.
I assumed that the messages sent from the flight controller (Pixhawk 2.1 in my case) are defined by the ArduPlane firmware, thus my posting in this category.

My last resort is manually poring through GitHub, but initial source searches didn’t turn up anything in particular.

Look for the text " gcs().send_text(MAV_SEVERITY_CRITICAL" in the ardupilot repo, you will get all possible messages, then you can select what you consider important for mentioning
