Ardupilot building issue

hello,
i’m new in Ardupilot building but i have followed the guide and i could build correctly ArduCopter 3.2 for APM2.6.
Now i have done some mistake trying to config visual studio to build for arduino and now every time i attempt to build the code, i got the message “sketch size is to big”. So i have uninstalled everything (deleted Arduino Ardupilot, uninstalled MHV AVR, uninstalled visual micro, deleted the ardupilot project and cloned it again) but something continue to goes wrong.
My opinion is that Arduino does not recognize mhv avr and so it use an older version of gcc that results in a bigger hex file.
I have also disabled logging, mount, autotune, ac_fence and config_sonar but it isn’t enough.
I know that this problem was discussed many times in this and other forums, but in every discussion i have read i can’t find a solution. I’ll glad if you have any suggestion to solve my problem.
thank you

I have just followed the instructions on
dev.ardupilot.com/wiki/building- … ual-micro/

using VS2012 and ArduPilot-Arduino-1.0.3-windows on Win8.1

Building the code crashes not only VS, but the entire machine :frowning:

Are the instruction still up to date, do I need to use a different Arduino?

Any hints are highly appreciated.

Thanks
Oskar
