Arducopter APM 2.6 - Trying to Flip Over

I’m new to all this so please be gentle, if I’ve put this in the wrong place, please let me know.

OK so have the above linked flight controller on my quadcopter.

All set up and have the blades spinning the correct direction etc, however when taking off it’s trying to flip itself over. Held it in my hands and when you tip it backward it tries to push the front up further, rather than trying to push the back up to stabalise itself. Obviously this leads to it flipping onto its roof which has lead to snapping 2 blades. Glad I have plenty spare :laughing:

Any help with this is appreciated as it’s frustrating the hell out of me.

Alan

are you sure motor layout is correct? are you sure flight controller orientation is correct?

Can you post a log with it doing it, ideally with RCout enabled in the logs.

How do I do that? I’ve only just built the thing, wish I’d just bought one :laughing: electronics/computers ain’t my thing.

If the motors spin the right direction, and the props are already installed properly;

Check the flight data output page to make sure the APM is oriented properly.

Check the ESC outputs to make sure none are swapped (the order can be confusing and it not how most would think).
