APM with gyro/ACC issue

So I just ordered a Wild Thumper and plan on setting it up with an extra apm that I have. It was one that I originally had on a tricopter but found out it has either a faulty gyro or acc. It would eventually start to tilt during flight. I went through everything and eventually swapped it out with another and found that it works fine. So I have one apm that works fine other than a bad gyro or acc. So, do you guys think it would be ok to use this apm for my rover project? APM in rover mode doesn’t use the gyro or acc for control does it?

Thanks

@techspy,
Unfortunately the APM firmware uses the accelerometers to measure the lateral acceleration in a turn so as not to turn so fast as to tip the rover over.
