APM Planner feature enhancement plan

I’m considering to contribute to the APM Planner 2 code base (still in doubt if the effort is useful). Currently, I see a large gap in between what APM Planner offers and what Mission Planner offers. Is there a plan of which features should be tackled first or have dev’ers decided to put all focus on Mission Planner ? Which persons contribute to the APM Planner code base at the moment ?
