To accompany the release of Iris here we have created a cross-platform ground control station application. It is based on qgroundcontrol, but adopts the mission planner UI aesthetic. This will make it easier for beginners and advanced users to use.

And remember we are actively implementing new features. If there is something you need that is missing, or not working correctly please post help request to the forum here http://ardupilot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=82
or add them to the issue list here github.com/diydrones/apm_planner/issues . And if you want to help, please send me an email, we loved to have you on board!.
The downloads page does not update the ‘date’ automatically of the posted downloads. I will talk with the page owners on how we can change that, but for now, remember, it will always be the latest stable release.

Hi, I see you are using AC2.8. We are supporting APM:Copter 3.x, APM:Plane 2.74 and APM:Rover 2.4x and greater in AP2. The dataflash format changed to a new self describing one. We can automatically pull-out changes in the format now in new releases.
