APM 2.8 Gimbal Compatibility

Hello all. I am new to the multirotor game. I see on Ardupilot’s website that APM 2.8 is compatible with the Storm 32 gimbal controller. The only gimbals I can find that that work with that controller use the gopro camera, but I don’t want to use the gopro cam. Will the gimbals for that camera such as http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Axis-Brushless-Gimbal-Camera-Mount-with-32bit-Storm32-Controller-Gopro3-4FPV-/111992437139?hash=item1a1344f993:g:VFsAAOSw3mpXMbGd work with other action cameras?

My first choice would be to use this gimbal and its camera
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__78137__Quanum_3_Axis_Mobius_Camera_Based_Gimbal.html but it uses the AlexMos controller. Will this system work with APM?

Any gimbal will work with the APM as long as it has PWM input. The Storm32 is a better controller and I would recommend it!
