APM 2.5 Connection Problem

New to the site here and was hoping to get some help with a problem im having. I have a APM 2.5 board that wont connect to my computer at all. The board use to but for some reason now it wont connect at all. The computer dosent even recognize anything being plugged in. The board used to connect but for some reason it wont know. I have a bad feeling that when i was putting on my quad it might have gotten shocked. Any help would be greatly appreciates. Thanks

Does the lights come on the APM if you plug in your flight pack battery?

If they do, but dont when plugged into computer by the USB lead, then the lead/USB port may be faulty.

If the lights dont come on with the flight pack battery, then the APM may be dead
