APM 2.0 will not end initial setup

When trying to init APM Planner 2.0 with ardurover (or else) firmware will install OK with initial setup, but config/tuning - Mandatory setup - Compass will not allow "APM with 3DR GPS/Compass.
Click on “compass enable” does not change anything.
Compass is plugged OK on AMP

Terminal gives this info:
“Compass initialisation failed”

Test gives:
Compass: disabled

Impossible to have compass ON with “compass on” command in setup mode.

Any idea welcome !

This does sound like a hardware fault.

Though, You could try using the Terminal mode and reseting the internal memory of the APM by entering ‘setup’ then ‘erase’

That may fix the issue, if not i would send the board back to the supplier.
