Hi all,I’ve been flying Pixhawk 4 Mini on a 2.5kg quad for about a year now.
I’m thinking of upgrading to the 6X —mainly for logging, IMU redundancy, and companion computer compatibility. For those who’ve actually migrated, do you notice any tangible benefits?
Is it worth the cost on smaller UAVs or more suited to high-end VTOL platforms?
This breakdown helped me a bit:Pixhawk 6X ReviewWould love to hear about real flight performance, especially vibration resistance or latency differences.
You can use a companion computer with any autopilot.
The Holybro Pixhawk 4 Mini supports SD card logging.
The 6X nets you Ethernet plus a better CPU and higher quality onboard peripherals. It will also better support Lua scripting. Actual flight performance COULD be improved over the 4 Mini, but that’s up to your ability to tune and leverage the faster CPU for more advanced filtering.
If those features are worth the extra cost to you, then it is a worthy upgrade.
