I crashed my quadcopter and the GPS connector on the APM 2.5 came loose. Apparently, the connector is a surface mount, and it was peelled off the pc board. I couldn’t fix it. Is there an alternative connection for the uBox GPS? Thanks in advance for any help.

@tnt2k03,
On the antenna side of the GPS pwb there are 4 pads with Vcc, Gnd, Tx, and Rx. You can use those pads by cutting off the GPS end of the cable and attaching the appropriate wire to each pad.

Thank you for quick reply. What about the connection on the APM 2.5 board? The GPS connector peelled off the board too.
Thanks,

If your APM’s GPS connector was that badly damaged in the crash, you might have other hidden issues with your APM and it might no longer be reliable.
However, if you wan to try and repair it, here is a picture of the underside of the APM2.5 pwb:
The GPS/UART1 pins are in the lower left hand corner of the pwb. You will have to buz out the correct pins in relation to the GPS connector on the other side of the pwb.
