Agl?

Hi,

First post ever… I believe. :mrgreen:

I tried a search but nothing came up. Is Mission Planner using google maps to keep AGL? In other words, if I tell it to keep an altitude of 30m does it compensate for the landscape changing?

Very crudely yes, with the Pixhawk you can load terrain data to the sd card and terrain follow now but its a new and experimental feature. APM 2… series do not have enough memory for this.

That sounds great. I didn’t even know what to call it, so after you brought up “terrain”, I did a search and this is what came up:
