We want to use the AFS option for AUTO mission mode. Since it could lead to terminate our real plane, we need first to simulate it before implementing on the real plane.
Specially, we want to simulate the GCS communication loss scenario. However, we couldn’t find any example how to do this either using SITL or HITL. Could anyone suggest us how to approach this matter?
HITL is not supported anymore. You can enable failsafe-related parameters of the simulated vehicle in SITL and disconnect it from GCS. Then after waiting some reasonable time, you can reconnect and analyze the logs. I don’t know anything but this to simulate GCS failure in SITL.
