I think there may be an issue with acro mode in 3.4 master, towards the end of the attached log I tried to acro flips, and if you graph RPY, you can see pitch hit 90, then roll flips, and starts to roll out. IE uncommanded roll during a full pitch stick deflection. While the copter does make it over, it does not look good. I was thinking this might be because of the acro self level?

You have Acro_Trainer set to 2 and that means it will angle limit. So set it to zero and go nuts
