Working in Absolute altitude requires extra care. But if done properly, using gps and barometric data combined, it can be a valuable way of communicating.

Having to create precise missions that are repeatable that are created as an offset from a launch point is cumbersome. Absolute altitude (MSL) would go a long way to solve a lot of use cases out there.

Noticed this option was removed from the last MP build??

I hope it wasn’t removed. I am trying to set up a landing site that is below the home point, and using negative values seems to make thing get squirrely.

the option exists for plane, but not copter.

I will verify is this is still true.

copter does NOT support absolute alts.
