Hi,
I’m having some trouble setting my Tx to produce the correct PWM values needed to select 6 flight modes using 2 switches. I’m using a Flysky FS-i6.
I’ve tried following this tutorial but when I go into AUX.CHANNELS I can only assign 1 switch to each channel. I’m assuming this is down to different firmware running on our devices.
This means I have to set this up using mixing and end point calibration which is something I know next to nothing about (my first Tx). If anyone could point me in the right direction, I’d very much appreciate it.
I can set channel end points of the switch extremes and in the MIX settings, I can change:
It’s probably much easier if you instal the 10 channel firmware, even if you don’t plan on using the extra 4 channels it will give you the 2 switch option. Also when using the 2 switch option end points have to be adjusted for it to work properly. With my Pixhawk I found setting both end points to 80% worked fine.
Also if you don’t want to go down the firmware route you can change one of the VR pots for a 6 way switch the Turnigy make, and that works with full unadjusted end points.
Cheers Paul.
Thought that might be the case after a little more research. I have managed to get 4 modes over the 2 switches though by following this guide. Just out of interest, would the cable to flash new firmware to the Tx also be suitable for connecting it to simulation software?
For sim use I went with the HobbyKing Wireless item
Just connect it to a spare receiver, if you have one that is, I use the iA6 receiver supplied with my i6 TX as I only use iA6B receivers in my models because of the much longer range they have over the iA6
