If I buy a pair of 3DR radios I get an “Air” and a “Ground” radio.
Is there a difference except the label?
Or in other words: If I connect an “Air” radio to the UAV and an “Air” radio to the GCS, will they pair and work?
Difference (if there is one) is on the hardware side. Some “Air” modules have only UART, not USB plug. Ground module have USB and can also have UART.
Some better engineered ones have Micro USB and UART on both modules, no difference.
You can use ground or air modules on both sides of the link.
