1.3.0 Radio Calibration failing D4R-II

I am using an FrSky D4R-II connected to a pixhawk. When I try and calibrate the radio the colour bars are briefly there and then all fall to zero and displays just blue in the bar things (bet there is a better word)

The receiver is bridged to output CCPM and is bound to the TX correctly driving servos in the normal way when not bridged.

It is very likely I am doing something foolish!

Standby your beds happens in all GCS must be the receiver in some way.
