Trad Heli, programing TX16s 6 switches and spool key

I was able to assign 6P to 6 flight modes
successfully after flowing your Guys recommended setups
After I changed the ch5 to ch6 in the mix page, was able to get 6 flight modes
I did set the weight to 90%
And ch8 is the -100/100 using SF switch
In my input page: Source: switch SF weight 100

In my ardupilot servo output : 8 HeliESC 1000. 1500 . 2000

It was not able to arm and showing check FS_THR_value when I try to arm

So I changed the value from 975 to 933 based on the radio Calibration value 933
And now I am able to arm :ok_hand:
Tomorrow will be my test flight :airplane: and will see if everything is going right!

Now I have another concern regard the Old firmware in my pixhawk

I am using 2019 version Arduheli 3.6.7
And every time I power on the mission planner asking me to update to the newer version
I think is 4.6 or something like that,

Do I need to update the firmware to new one?
I did the manual PID tuning back then and took me 2 months to finish the setting with help from the community here.

The bird fly good since then.

But people recommended to take advantage of the auto tuning…
You think is better to fly it as is or go thought another 2 months of setting, calibrations, and diving to solve issues and mysteries?

Thank you
Ozzy

Your call. I guess it depends on your goals. If all you want is a flying heli, and it’s doing what you want already then maybe just leave it alone. If you want to learn more about ArduPilot and maybe there’s new features you want to take advantage of, then update it.

Don’t forget the Prime Directive: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I am sorry didn’t get that, what is the Prime Directive?

I guess since it’s the old Pixhawk (~2017) I will fly it as is till problems raise.
As I am working on other big scale 1/6 AS350 Pixhawk and now I am in the auto tune phase

:slightly_smiling_face:
Thank you to everyone here for the big support!
