Strange I’m not sure. I normally just press the button twice like you did and it works. Have you tried another phone? I had a lot of issues trying use an old S4.
my cell phone is relative new one, it is SM-A325N(Galaxy A32) and it is very clean and new condition.
it runs android 12, not old one.
Thank you for confirming your device details.
Additionally, may I ask another question? Is it possible to connect to “cloud.ardupilot.org:8001/webclient.html” through Safari? My iPhone cannot connect to the Webclient using Safari, and I suspect that there may be a problem with my country’s network.
Great, now I can connect via mobile as well. I had to add ‘https://’ to the URL. Thank you. However, I’m still unable to get the video on Safari or anywhere. I’m currently working on PC firewall.
I tried many configurations to establish a successful video connection between the drone and GCS cards, but none of the solutions worked except for one:
using WiFi instead of LTE on the drone card.
When I connect the drone card to WiFi, it connects well. Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem?
I suspect my LTE carrier is blocking something. but, sometimes it connects. so I can’t figure out how it works and why it connect well or not
I think I need to create a new code for this function since it’s configured with Egypt’s cell phone carrier settings.
I believe it may not function properly in some of countries as video only seems to work on my drone’s card when connected to Wi-Fi.
It plays youtube videos well and it is high price plan. it is very fast… so I believe it is not connectivity issue, rather it is security blocking firewall issue…
both my laptop and my quad use LTE(I have two LTE cellular phones.)
university use weird program that is not turned off or removed even when not using their network.
now I turned off it so it would not be a problem.
I believe the problem is underlying carrier’s firewall setting, not university’s one, because Iphone(Safari) which has independent LTE connection also cannot access to video
and when using WIFI with the weird university program I can connect video well.
Most mobile phone carrier has that firewall because they no longer allocate true ip to each users.
There is a workaround which I did using a vpn. I send video as well but I don’t use a phone. I use a proper IOT device.
I think if you are really doing this professionally, you need to get the basics about networking. Internet networking particularly. There is no way around it. Installing bulking apps like teambuilder will have long latency communicating with your drone.
I figured out the issues with andruav not displaying video, basically its a issue with the mobile network as I get the same issue with some networks but not others,
you can either VPN to your local network
use a public vpn (you can get free vpn apps)
use a second phone to share the connection via a hotspot then connect andruav to it. for some strange reason it only doesn’t work if it’s directly connected to the network.
i have been testing different phones and networks over the last 6 months to see what works and what doesnt.
samsung phones have issues with it, they have a low frame rate.
