Long range UAV link 100mw for 60KM was designed and tested

Wa hooooooo
Glad to see you got it ok. Also nice to be by the lake for testing.
It appears you got both types of antenna…very good and the rubber boots where removed already. Thats great as well.
Is the stick setup so that it doesn’t spring back on the throttle.

Be aware also that the Wifi button does nothing right now. I guess it must be for future function.

Be interested to hear your experience.

Yes, package M12L was sent is the most robust one I have seen. There weren’t any scratchs even outside package  That carry package is metallic and 5cm soft protection inside

One unwanted issue occured. I calibrated Tx in Missionplanner and If I move only throttle, almost all the channels are also taking interference. So yaw, roll and other channels are taking movement commands. I have to figure out it little bit more where the problem is. Channels are taking also commands without doing anything, so It is possible current channel is getting noise from elsewhere. How to change channel?

Thats interesting.
I have not experienced that myself. let Skydroid know.

I think that is channel recerving issue. There might be some traffic on the same channelset, first guess is that.

Now all the problems are gone. No interference anymore. I dont know what was actual reason. I restarted my computer (com ports driver were installed after connecting M12L). I also restarted Pixhawk and M12L. And now everything is working fine! I’ll upload videos of this occurence to Tube.

Thats odd. Glad it’s gone away.

more testing and problems occured again. In mission planner calibration part, if you try all the switches and buttons, you can hear “strong beep” from Rx part (or Pixhawk) and channel wabbling starts. Weird!

I am going to check mine to see if I have the same issue. I didn’t see it last time I checked. But will have a look.

Update. Just checked and no issues. Works fine.

Here is video of problem. It isn’t interference problem but something between Pixhawk and Tx. Lets figure out more…

Well that is down right weird. I have never seen anything like it.
I would do some simple tests like a different cable a different receiver to see if it still happens.
Check the Pixhawk board for a bad connection.

Anyone have a straw I can grab

Hey guys, I got one, too. Did you have any trouble with bluetooth comm to your Android phone? I can pair the phone with the M12L and in the Skydroid app, I see it as a choice to connect to but it doesn’t connect- no error message, just nothing. Here is a video. I have sent a message to Skydroid with the video. https://youtu.be/PL-81nvtGcY

Do you have the regular tower app installed on your phone. If so give that a try.
Also have you done all the config with the Equipment assistant.

I followed the documentation you translated or think I did. It had me download an app from fuav.xin. Maybe I downloaded the wrong app. I had Chrome translate the page and may have chosen the wrong link. Can you guide me here? Thanks for quick response!

You need to download this app.
Its the config app.

Ok. Thanks. I will try to do that shortly between prep for family Thanksgiving activities!

Have a great Thanksgiving man and welcome to the Skydroid Family.

I just took the time to download and that connected. I
Later today, I should have time to set up the unit to behave the way my current unit works and perhaps give it a try. I will report in! Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Ok, I tried similar calibration with MissionPlanner 1.3.59 & ArduCopter V3.6.1 and Pixhawk 4. RX in this test was Frsky R9MM and TX was FlySky Nirvana. I have to redo test with M12L and change computer to check if problem is linked to laptop hardware
All the channels weren’t used.

Wow! I installed MissionPlanner 1.3.60 to 2nd laptop and no problems occured at all!! So problem was located in computer side! Not in Pixhawk / M12L. I have to update MissionPlanner to 1st computer to see, if problem was in MissionPlanner itself

Here is success in calibration. M12L rocks !!!

You tried everything to reproduce the problem. Messed with the switches and sticks.
If so that’s great news.
