Crash during Autotune with my Bell 230 1.8m

@heri
Hi Heri,
The frequency sweep for the roll axis was good however, the pitch and yaw axes did not give me enough data. So I would like you to repeat the Pitch and Yaw SystemID flights. Here are the settings I would like you to use for them

for the pitch axis sweep set
SID_AXIS, 2
SID_MAGNITUDE, 6
SID_F_START_HZ, 0.2
SID_F_STOP_HZ, 8

for the yaw axis sweep set
SID_AXIS, 3
SID_MAGNITUDE, 8
SID_F_START_HZ, 0.1
SID_F_STOP_HZ, 6

@bnsgeyer

Hi Bill,

ok, I will try the parms on the next calm day.

Thank you!

Hello,
I am sorry if I am causing any interference in this post.

I was wondering how could you know from the data that is collected was a good sweep or not? Like
what do you analyze or what features or pattern in the data do you look at to say that this was a good sweep that excites the system?
Would you mind briefly explain or guide me what to read?

My question might be stupid but i am a beginner trying to understand how can I use the mode properly.

Thank you for your help.

@DroneSys have you read through the system ID mode description in the wiki and the example given there.

Yes and it was really helpful. But what I was pointing out in my question is basically i would like to know how can you know by just looking on the data that this was a sufficient sweep and the data is useful for identification?
