Add pictures superposed on map?

Hi,

Not sur my title was very clear.
My goal is to take a picture of a place (for example with a copter) and then “overlay” them on a maps.

I need this because the place where I want to use a rover change several time per year. So I can’t use data from Google maps to put my waypoint as the maps are not the reality.

I’m “upping” this post, as I did’nt find a way to overlay a picture on a map and then place waypoints.

I recently find the RTK GPS system, it is possible to take a picture with a copter, “tag” the position with the RTK GPS and put this pictute on a map ?

this is possible, you need to georeference the image in question, then load it into MP using the GDAL option
