How to Remove Self Stabilise from flight modes

Hi Everyone.

I have developed a Simulink model for ArduCopter for tuning. i have a problem on the validation process where ArduCopter altitude mode uses stabilize mode. the problem is the quad tries to self stabilize when you give it a step input. anyone know how to disable self-stabilizing mode would be very helpful.

I believe Acro mode is a rate controller only. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but would simply using that flight mode work for you?

thanks for the replay . i want to use altitude hold but without self stabilize. i have set a mixer to provide me with step input . the problem is when the quad reaches the step . it starts to go back to level position. hope i explained my self.
