I’m a recent robotics engineering graduate and my final year project was an autonomous rover based on ArduRover, ROS2, and an AI vision system using a Hailo chip. I learned a good mix of hardware and software skills by tinkering with the whole setup myself. I’m wondering whether a project like this can actually help me land a job in the industry, or if I should just keep doing it as a hobby. Does anyone here actually work on professional jobs based on ArduPilot? Any advice would be great, since I’ve put about 1.5 years of work into this setup.

That isn’t the right mind … having some collections of name on a CV is worth nothing.
You will get a job because you got competencies and can demonstrate them. If you want to work in the drone world, knowing ArduPilot will be a plus or if you got real expertise, you can live from it.
But in all cases, what matter is what you demonstrate and how well you can sell your competencies.

The mistake people make is they get a drone then try and do work with it, you still need to know photography to know the camera settings, you need to know surveying to do mapping and for basic video and photos its cheaper for someone to buy a cheap drone than hire you so realistically to be successful you need to get into an industry then use drones to improve it either doing something better, faster or cheaper. ardupilot will help there if you end up designing something custom for your application.
