Why doesn’t K1000 show up on Radiomaster Nomad (ELRS 3.5.6, FCC 915)?

Hi!
I’m using a Radiomaster Nomad X-Band module with ExpressLRS 3.5.6, set to FCC 915 MHz.
Everything works fine — connection, telemetry, backpack MAVLink — except that the K1000 packet rate option doesn’t appear. I only see DK500 and the normal LoRa packet rates for Sub-GHz in the ELRS Lua script.

Setup:

  • Radiomaster Nomad Dual 1 W Gemini X-Band
  • ELRS v3.5.6
  • Band: FCC 915 MHz
  • Mode: Backpack (MAVLink)
  • Baud Rate: 400 000
  • Matching RX firmware

Question:
Why doesn’t the K1000 option show up in the packet rate list for my setup?

turn up the baud rate on your radio. I seem to think I had to go to 5.25m baud (max)

Thank you! When I increase the baud rate in External RF, K1000 now shows up in my ELRS rates.

But I can’t connect to Mission Planner after increasing the baud rate in only External RF and SERIALx_BAUD in Mission Planner.

Do I also need to increase it somewhere else, like for the backpack?

You are mixing baud rates between different devices. You shouldn’t have to change receiver baud rate, IIRC it should stay at 420k, the default ELRS baud rate, unless you have changed it in ELRS. And MP is connected to a virtual serial port for which baud rate doesn’t really matter.

ELRS and EdgeTX generate a lot of local traffic related to syncing mixer and transmitter so the latency is minimized.
