As far as I see, terrain following is applied per waypoint when the waypoints are written, so is there any way to return to relative altitude flight during a mission apart from rewriting all the waypoints with terrain following disabled?
Tridge designed this ability into his ground station software, MAVProxy. I requested the same in Mission Planner, however Michael said he has no intention of implementing it.
