Using NavIC for Ardupilot autonomous flight

I wish to use the NavIC system for GPS navigation on Ardupilot for a quadcopter. Iā€™m quite new to the GPS system in whole and have no idea about where to start. This is exactly what I would like to know, any resources which can help me learn more about GPS usage in Ardupilot and how to change the satellite constellation.

I suppose once I know a few things I should be able to frame a better question (learning first). Any help is appreciated

hello,

You just need a GNSS chip that is NavIC compatible and have it output NMEA protocol to have ArduPilot using it.

Thank you for the quick response! @khancyr
Can you please point me to where I can read more about this topic? Using the chips/protocols with Ardupilot & their compatibility.
Anything that would help me understand a little more.
