Underwater object avoidance

Wondering if anyone would happen to know if this sensor would be compatible with ardupilot rover, frame class is for a boat. Currently running a Radiolink Pixhawk 2.4.8. Looking for a possible affordable solution just to see what is possible with object avoidance. Plan was to mount this on a bow mounted trolling motor facing forward in my kayak. Just not incredibly familiar in this domain in terms of compatibility of sensors. Or if anyone would have any other suggestions, like I said, this is mostly just to experiment with so just looking for an affordable option to tinker around with as I know there are definitely more expensive documented options out there. I really don’t have any coding experience so would like to avoid adding any companion computers, I’m also pretty new to ardupilot in general so if this is just something that is too far out of reach I am definitely open to hearing that as well and will circle back to this as I gain more experience. Appreciate any and all replies in advance!

its not natively supported but you can make an adapter with an arduino board

Thank you for your input! Definitely think this is beyond my abilities at this time. Wouldn’t even know where to begin! Really appreciate you taking your time. I will start researching into how to implement this information. Will be my winter project. Thanks again!

there is a post here from when it was adapted

Thanks geofrancis. I appreciate this info and will save it all. Unfortunately I don’t know where to even begin with this information (which I expected as I am just getting started with all of this) hahaha. I’ll probably just get an arduino and learn some small stuff before i try to tackle this. I wouldn’t even know out of your first link to the adapter how/which/where to put the coding and which ones to use. Truly appreciate this though and am glad to have found what will be needed to implement this information the future.
