It wasn’t getting a fix in Mission Planner & I only had a steady green light.
I left it by a window connected to my Pixhawk and forgot about it. I thought it was toast.
A couple of hours later I have a working GPS. It now sports an additional blinking blue LED
and Mission Planner reports 3D Fix.
My question is why did it take so long to aquire gps fix ? I have other gps units in various
other gadgets that all get satellites within a minute or two (and that’s inside the house).
Also, as it has a compass built in, does it matter what direction it faces ? ie: the arrow symbol must point the same way as Pixhawk ?
None of my GPS units will work inside the house. They only work with a clear view of the sky.
The compass must point in the same direction as the Pixhawk otherwise you need to set a parameter telling the Pixhawk what your compass orientation is so it knows, otherwise your copter will fly off in the wrong direction.
